Self care after Dieta

After you complete your Plant Ceremony or dieta, your body is energetically, emotionally, spiritually and physically sensitive. A dieta with a plant is quite different then doing a diet preparation to sit with grandmother medicine. However, almost everyone could benefit to look at their diet in any moment of their life. Food is one of the greatest source of health imbalances in ones body.

Self care is a transition phase to the full integration of your healing work, as well as to protect yourself. It is for this reason that we ask you to respect these guidelines. The plants have been know to make people sick in the event of a major disrespect. When I first returned home after my apprenticeship, I tried to add some of the old food in my diet and got really sick. It is a great risk to you if you contemplate testing the plants to see what would happen. I have heard of stories of people dying at the hands of the plant medicine. They simply ask for your respect and diligence in your diet as best as possible. If for some reason you face challenges or find it difficult to follow these guidelines and/or are experiencing symptoms please get in touch immediately.

We recommend you always consume a high ratio of fresh organic fruits and vegetables, plenty of water, avoid processed foods, non-natural cosmetic products and be mindful of the way you interact with others. This is especially important if you want to get the best out of your work with these plant medicines. The plants will continue to grow within your body and teach you in dream-time their wisdom. Have a journal near your bed to record your dreams.

“Ayahuasca brings us to the boundaries not only of science but also of the entire Western world-view and its philosophies” – Benny Shanon in his book, “Antipodes of the mind”:  (p. 39)
