Self Care after Ceremony

Self care is a transition phase to the full integration of your healing work, as well as to protect yourself. It is for this reason that we ask you to respect these guidelines. It is important to assess the food your re-introduce and checking with your body to see it’s reaction. this is a very important time to maintain your pré-ceremony diet preparation. Food is such a double edge sword, where there is a addictive components to contemplate. When returning home, follow the same guidelines as your preparation time and introduce food gently. Taking one bit and listening to your body’s vibration to see if it feels uplifted or drained with such food bite. So many of Western culture eat in a hurry; I too have done that as well, but when we mindfully choose our foods, our body give us energies and longevity. Thus, it is worth giving it a try.

We recommend you always consume a high ratio of fresh organic fruits and vegetables, plenty of water, avoid processed foods, non-natural cosmetic products and be mindful of the way you interact with others. This is especially important if you want to get the best out of your work with these plant medicines. The plants will continue to grow within your body and teach you in dream-time their wisdom. Have a journal near your bed to record your dreams.

“Ayahuasca brings us to the boundaries not only of science but also of the entire Western world-view and its philosophies” – Benny Shanon in his book, “Antipodes of the mind”:  (p. 39)
